4th Plenary Meeting
The UniMaaS Project continues to progress, and the 4th Plenary Meeting in Belfast brought the consortium together for two productive days of discussion, collaboration, and planning. Hosted by Queen’s University Belfast, the meeting took place on 20–21 May 2026, bringing partners together to review the latest project developments and define the next steps towards the future of Manufacturing-as-a-Service (MaaS).
Across the two days, partners discussed progress across the project’s work packages, explored developments in the technical infrastructure, and focused particularly on the project’s pilots and their integration into the wider UniMaaS ecosystem.
Updates & next steps
The first day focused on the latest progress across the UniMaaS Project, with partners sharing updates from their respective work packages and discussing the activities planned for the months ahead.
The sessions provided an opportunity to reflect on the work completed so far, exchange ideas, and address the priorities and challenges ahead. Partners also discussed upcoming milestones and how the different activities will continue to come together as the project progresses.
These discussions helped ensure a shared understanding of the project’s current direction and strengthened the collaboration needed to move forward together.
Focus on the pilots
The second day of the meeting placed a strong focus on the UniMaaS pilots, giving partners the opportunity to share updates, exchange experiences, and discuss the progress made so far.
The different pilot teams presented their current activities and reflected on the work carried out over the past months. These sessions also provided a valuable space for partners to discuss challenges, share feedback, and identify the priorities for the next stage of the project.
Looking ahead
The meeting provided a valuable opportunity to strengthen collaboration across the consortium and align on the activities ahead. With important work continuing across the pilots, platform, and technical developments, UniMaaS is moving forward towards its vision of intelligent and data-driven Manufacturing-as-a-Service ecosystems.
