2nd Plenary Meeting

The UniMaaS Project is moving full speed ahead, and its 2nd Plenary Meeting marked a key moment in this ambitious journey to transform manufacturing services. Held on June 18–19, 2025, at the Inria Center of the University of Lille in France, the meeting brought the entire consortium together once again, this time face to face, for two days of energy, collaboration, and forward planning.

Planning the road ahead

Over the course of the event, partners took time to reflect on the project’s progress so far and align on the next steps. A major focus was preparing for the upcoming 1st Review Meeting in September, ensuring that both the technical achievements and strategic direction are on track. The discussions also covered the broader roadmap, as the team continues building toward a unified AI-driven platform that enhances access to customized manufacturing services.

A highlight of the meeting was the presentation of the infrastructure graph for Manufacturing Service Chains (MSC) Embedding, a crucial component that helps visualize and structure the platform’s core capabilities. Partners also explored the UniMaaS reference architecture and the enabling technologies that support it, diving deeper into the design of a system built to boost efficiency, flexibility, and intelligence across the manufacturing value chain.

In addition, the consortium refined its communication and dissemination strategies, clarified upcoming technical and operational requirements, and worked on integrating key elements such as Data Spaces and the Knowledge Graph. A valuable exchange with the Advisory Board brought fresh insights and ensured that the project remains connected to industry needs and expectations.

What’s Next?

With preparations for the 1st Review Meeting well underway, the consortium now shifts focus to accelerating platform development and deepening technical integration. The next few months will be critical as innovative ideas are translated into concrete solutions — tested, refined, and implemented in real-world manufacturing settings.
